Jaw Coupling

Flexible Couplings :

 Flexible couplings are normally used in areas where the coaxiallity between the connecting shafts is not always assured and in areas where there is a possibility of occurrence of shocks in the transmission is applicable. They are also called as Elastic Couplings. By construction these couplings tend to have a elastic member in between the two connecting entities. The different types of flexible couplings are

 1. Star Couplings & Spacer Coupling

 2. Flexible Pin Bush Type Couplings

 3. Gear Tooth Coupling "Half Gear & Full Gear

 4. Tyre couplings - Jaw Type & S-flex Type

 5. M.S. Brake Drum Coupling

 6 M.S. Chain Coupling

Jaw Type Star Couplings & Spacer Coupling

This consists of jaw type and S-flex couplings.

These are simple in construction made from cast iron, star coupling are used to compensate axial and angular misalignment. A spider or star rubber is placed between two jaws to absorb shock, vibration and misalignment. Available for transmitting power from range 0.21 Kw to 22.40 Kw at 100 rpm
